This was my convo between me and my husband – then-boyfriend in 2013. It was the random topic of the day that came out. At that time, he was following news in my country because I was still living in Indonesia at that time. The biggest news was the election of the central government. Here is the following convo:
K: the presidential election is coming up. Are you excited?
Me: no. not really.
K: btw, I followed the news. What’s up with candidate no.1? What’s his deal? it seems that he really wanted to be portrayed as a strong and macho leader. At least that is the image that he wanted to build. Riding horse, etc, etc.
Me: Yeah. Pretty much the image he wanted people to perceive and see.
K: Is he gay or something? I mean there’s nothing wrong with being gay. It’s just, normally people who tried so hard to portray themselves as macho over the top, normally the people who actually lack manhood in that department. Just saying.
Me: *burst into laughter* O, sweety…..you pretty much describe him.
