When there’s a sun, people in the Netherlands will come out and enjoying the sun in the terrace to have coffees, teas, beers or wines.
Restaurant de Waag is one of those place where you can enjoy those kind of luxury.
While I’ve never been actually eat in the restaurant. But I do like to enjoy wine and their platters.
They have 2 kinds of platters this spring. Mixed authentic dutch snacks platter and oberico platter. If I cant decide, I ordered both with a bottle white wine. They have good house pinot grigio.
Price wise, well… compared what I normally have to pay in Jakarta, this is okay. It’s not expensive for me. Just okay.
The restaurant itself is located in Nieuwemarkt area or we called it, the chinatown in Amsterdam. It stood in the middle of the square. Its not far from the Amsterdam Centraal Station, its close to the red light district. You can reach it on foot or took a metro from Amsterdam CS and its only one stop. Easy to find and worth to visit. Maybe you’ll find me here in the summer.
