I’ve been dreaming of visiting Japan since 2012, meticulously planning my journey over five years to ensure every detail was perfect. Since Japan is the most expensive country—beating Europe—I had to plan well.

Obtaining a visa was a necessary, albeit frustrating, step for an Indonesian residing in Europe, but it was a hurdle I was willing to overcome for a country I consider truly worth visiting. 

My love for manga and dorama, which have played significant roles in my life, deepens my passion for Japan. I have an extensive collection of over 1,000 manga, including cherished series such as Detective Conan, Detective Kindaichi, and Samurai X, as well as beloved girlie mangas such as Candy Candy, Popcorn, and A Glass Mask. Additionally, I’m a huge fan of Takuya Kimura and Utada Hikaru.

For me, visiting Japan is not just a trip; it’s the fulfilment of a lifelong dream, a chance to immerse myself in a culture I have admired for years through my favourite comics and shows.
