As a seasoned traveller, I’ve come to know exactly what I like and what doesn’t work for me. With that in mind, when planning our trip to London, I knew that if I wanted to visit Windsor Castle, a half-day guided tour in the afternoon would be the best choice for us. This ensures that we didn’t miss any of the key highlights. I also chose in the afternoon because an afternoon visit to Windsor Castle offers a chance to explore at a more relaxed pace, avoiding the busiest morning crowds. The best part is that I didn’t have to worry about the logistics of getting there because the tour provider conveniently arranged everything.

Our journey began as we left London at 13:00 p.m., heading towards Windsor. Before meeting up with our tour group, my husband and I, we made a quick stop at WA Café to pick up some delicious japanese style sandwiches and cakes for a light lunch meal.

To ensure we were well-prepared for the day, we also made a stop to a nearby Tesco, where we stocked up on water, drinks, and snacks to keep us energised throughout the tour, which is expected to last around six to seven hours depending on the traffic. As my motto is, better ready than sorry.
